  1. : Mining Resources like Chris Brogan

Just now listening to a Podcast by Chris Brogan he discussed inner reources. This is so fundamental you forget it. He mentioned he travelled around a lot a a kid, like me, so had to make friends and connect easily.

You might be a skilled networker and not know it. This helps here. Mine your personality and inner resources. It is so easy to tap you forget.  Perhaps you enjoy your own company and creating things then you could be an excellent copyrighter or writer or creative communicator. Dig it.

Dig in the right places, digg close to home,Digg at what your best given life experience counts, mine your resources to change for the better. Dig for change.

In 2005, I was living with my Dad, I was about to drop out of college (maybe even get kicked out).  I decided the best thing to was travel not be round when the shit hit the fan.  I decided  travelled to Yugoslavia, via Italy. It was hot and the G8 was on it made want to quit even more.  I chanced upon Slovenia one of the first republics to break away.  Life swung its way round the people were friendly, the weather was hot but not sticky.

I began to feel myself again and was offered a job in the university (I was to archive the break up off the republic and the previous war).  My enthusiam ignited as I felt more was possible.  I felt I could perservere.  I moved to the halls of resisence I became the college giglo ( I was even in the University, I was just lucky to get a free room for the summer.

In 6 months you can turn your life right round in year you can change it beyonfd anything you just have to perservere, persist and or do something different.  In that summer I decided I would go back to college. I had no money I had spent. I actually had no way of getting back as I had missed my flight. I said in one moment I will finsih college and I will hitch hike my way back to Scotland to do it.

For weeks later and through autobans, lorry truck stop stations and no food onsome days I made it to London.  The decision to perserevere also brought an attractive Spanish girl who would be the envy of my friends on my return to Edinburgh. I got back to college a different person on every level richer experience.  I finished university happy the year after and really believe in the persist, perservere and promise nothing.
